Job Summary

Manage and execute companywide employee engagement strategy and initiatives by developing programs that support employee overall well-being and engagement, creating engagement survey processes and metrics, overall engagement communication and administration, producing detailed report on employee engagement survey results for leadership action and ensuring that employee relations policy is consistently applied across the Company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be a lead in developing a winning culture through employee engagement interventions and practices and develop comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy,
  • Responsible for developing and implementing internal communications, events and engagement plans across BGI,
  • Develop and direct implementation of employee relation & engagement policies, and programs,
  • Work directly with leadership and human resources team on establishing a strategic tool for the organization’s growth, productivity, and ability to attract and retain valuable employees
  • Develop, execute, and evaluate internal communication plan to ensure the vision, values, initiatives, and organizational information are communicated regularly and effectively,
  • Research current and potential labor relations problems, opportunities, and issues, and evaluate their impact, and recommend alternative courses of action,
  • Coordinate local-level negotiation and/or participate in the negotiation of multi-location agreements with unions on behalf of BGI, by working closely with labor union leaders to address issues related to staff
  • Analyze information and data necessary to define and discern the cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes.
  • Research and explain laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees and advise and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances
  • Collaborate with leadership on matters of policy and terms of memorandum of understanding before and throughout the negotiation process
  • Collaborates with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for and participation in negotiation with employee and labor groups
  • Help develop and implement the company’s diversity initiatives and strategies to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace,
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager

Job Requirements

  • 8 years experience relevant experience in employee engagement and industrial relations & at least 2 years in a managerial role

Education

  • The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration or related fields.

Experience

  • Experience in implementing diverse and high-impact HR initiatives to support organizational objectives
  • High-level understanding of the county labor legislation and industrial relation
  • Ability to develop and communicate goals in support of the business' mission
  • Ability to enhance others' commitment to their work
  • As a team member, the ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team; the ability to demonstrate interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together
  • Ability to demonstrate support for organizational changes needed to improve the organization's effectiveness.
