What you can expect As Business Development Manager, you will develop customer/market intelligence, establish customer relationships, engage in sales activities, and realize trials in alignment with the Marketing & Sales Vegetable Seeds strategy in Ethiopia. You will support sales via technical/intelligence/product development work, and promote our Vegetable Seeds Portfolio and Brand in the country. Core responsibilities . Market intelligence - collect and organize in a structured way the financial potential of priority crops. . Customer intelligence - collect and report information useful to develop relationships with key customers. Trials - - in alignment with Regional Product Development Strategy, design and execute a trial plan. - in alignment with trial evaluation protocols, collect trial data and report to crop teams. - in alignment with crop strategy, organize and follow up the trials for variety registration and its process. . Location: Based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with frequent countrywide travel. Job Type: Permanent What we expect . Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or related field. . Fluent English language skills. . 5 years experience (3 years in the specific field of vegetables, sales or product development in vegetables/seeds, professional production of vegetables would be preferred). . A market and customer-oriented individual, organized and mature.
