Job Description
Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, “Civil Society Organization” established in 2014. ASDEPO is mandated to operate in all regional states of the country and is engaged in indifferent thematic program areas of intervention namely: Humanitarian Response, Education, Health/HIV and AIDS/RH, Women and Youth Economic Empowerment, Gender Violence and Child Protection, Migration/Human Trafficking, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (Wash), NTD’s Climate Change, Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Training in Gambella, Oromia, Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar, SNNPR and Somali Region.
Introduction
The MHNT Nurse/Midwife will be responsible for providing Mobile Health and Nutrition services in the assigned Sibu Sire Woreda. S/He will mainly be responsible for the daily implementation of nutritional screening, medical consultation, outreach EPI, health education, providing technical support to HEW and other assigned tasks by the organization. She/He will be responsible for the daily implementation of mobile health and nutrition services package and ensure the availability of medicines, equipment and supply management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic health and nutrition services including community medical consultation, ANC, safe motherhood, emergency services, referral, health education, EPI and support community health and nutrition activities in health facilities and returnees sites.
- Facilitate essential drugs, supplies and therapeutic products for the team and the selected health facilities.
- Participate in capacity-building training, in health education sessions and community health day activities.
- Provide basic preventive health care at the community level with emphasis on health immunization health and nutrition services.
- Ensure pregnant and lactating mothers receive appropriate care and services in the Outreach and health facilities.
- Mentoring and providing technical support to HEW in community-level activities.
- Strengthening referral system and linkage between services and health facilities
- Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and submit to the MMHT team leader.
- Coordinate and facilitate implementation of mobile health and nutrition activities,

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATION
- BSc/College Diploma in Midwifery and Nursing or other health-related fields.
- At least 3 years working experience for Degree and 5 years for Diploma holders
- Good written and spoken ability of the local language (Afan Oromo)
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability and willingness to work in remote and potentially insecure
