(USi)was founded in 1999 by current CEO Michael Shebelle primarily as a systems maintenance and support organization providing unparalleled services to its clients. Within a short time, USi grew steadily to expand its operations to systems delivery and integration as well as providing an implementation of end-to-end enterprise solutions and business applications in response to the growing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and professional services needs in Ethiopia. Currently, USi runs its operations with over 50 permanently employed engineering, sales/pre-sales, technical support and other staff members and has the capability to ramp up its workforce quickly depending on the size and scope of projects and specific expertise needed. Today, USi is recognized as one of the major companies positioned to contribute positively to the growth of Ethiopia’s ICT capabilities and economic expansion. Additionally, it has now started providing services in the East African region and plans to eventually become a truly global company. Responsibilities: - Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm - Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements - Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure. - Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems - Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges - Complete detailed reports listing requests to technical assistance steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved - Taking training and certification for major products Qualifications, Skills, competence - Fresh Graduate - BSc in Electrical Engineering in Computer Engineering from a recognized University with a minimum cumulative (GPA) of 3.0 and above. - Proficient in basic computer skills, must at least have taken the training of Microsoft, CCNA, Oracle or other IT-related training. - Must be able to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English and possess excellent communication and report writing skills. - Should be self-motivated, able to work under minimum supervision as well as a team player. - In-depth know-how on Networking, Computer Hardware and Software Hands-on experience in Computing in hardware and software maintenance and configuration is a plus - Must demonstrate that he/she will take training and certification for major products with the shortest time possible.
