Position: Account Manager for government and private sectors

Job Summary

The Account Manager serves as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, to maximize profit create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships;

The Account Manager is also responsible for overseeing a portfolio of assigned customers, developing new business from existing clients, and actively seeking new sales opportunities;

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and maintain regular communication with Government and Private sectors, representing the company's interests and fostering strong partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Government and Private Institutions to establish the company as a trusted partner in the medical equipment sales and technical service provision; IT equipment, software sales, and technical service provision; and continuous professional development (CPD) provision for health professionals.
  • Perform market research within the sectors to better identify the needs requirements and expectations of the clients and continue to track their needs over time;
  • Utilize the market research findings to generate account strategies, business plans, and leads and to maintain consistent reach, awareness, and opportunities for growth in each market;
  • Perform research on competitors and trends, share findings with the integrated marketing team, and take the lead on creating projects that bring in new revenue from the account;
  • Lead and managed a variety of communications strategies, campaigns, and projects for the sectors;
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs, requirements and expectations;
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Proactively identify and bring sales leads and tender opportunities from the account ensuring a consistent pipeline.
  • Consistently select, and manage a team of freelancers in regional institutes to effectively generate sales leads and contribute to market expansion.
  • Implement strategic marketing initiatives to dominate and cover the market, ensuring maximum market penetration and revenue growth;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Sales Team Service Team, and Finance, to align marketing efforts and achieve overall business objectives;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and potential risks, providing recommendations to management;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports to customers, showcasing the company's capabilities and value proposition together with respective product managers and engineers;
  • As necessary, visit clients, and attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities;
  • Accomplish any other duties as assigned by the supervisor;

Requirements:

  • BA/BSC; MA/MSC/ MD degree in Health Related Fields (MD, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, …)
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in marketing, Sales, business development, or related roles within the medical equipment industry.
  • Strong network and existing relationships with Government and Private Institutes in the Medical Industry.
  • Demonstrated success in generating sales leads, and securing tenders.
  • Ability to work independently, with a high level of self-motivation and resilience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Ability in market research techniques and tools is a plus
  • Experience in recruiting, managing, and motivating a team of sales professionals is a plus
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
