The overall objective of the BRIDGE+ program is to contribute to a functioning dairy Value Chain that creates inclusive and sustainable benefits for all its participants, including wider society, with a particular focus on smallholder farmers within the mixed farming system. BRIDGE+ food safety component has three major intervention activities to ensure the quality and safety of milk and milk products. These are supporting milk supply chain regulation, processed milk and milk product quality and dairy processors support. EFDA has the mandate to regulate the quality and safety of milk and milk products. They conduct regular inspections and auditing as well as market surveillance and check compliance against the national standard.
