About the Job

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementation of effective financial strategies. This role requires a thorough understanding of financial management, and accounting principles, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
• Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
• Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Advise team and management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
• Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts.
• Mediate between the organization, factories, employees, and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
• Create strategic /financial/ business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
• Ensures proper recording and handling of financial data as well as accurate posting on systems.
• Provide vital financial leadership aligning business and finance strategy to grow the business.
• Drive business improvement initiatives such as Cost Reduction and Effective Controls among other process improvements and innovations that add value to the company.
• Confirm all month-end activities are done on time.
• Generate and check periodic financial statements and report to Management.
• Revise, follow up, and report weekly based on the aged Payables and Receivables report and cash balance.
• Supervise and control all GL and subsidiary accounts daily.
• Validate the Cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
• Check and confirm overhead costs accumulated and allocated as required by IFRS /generally accepted accounting principles.
• Check and analyze periodic Trial balance and financial data posted in the system.
• Oversees the accounting and reporting function across factories and business units.

About You

Qualifications& Attributes

• BA Degree, Finance, Accounting, or Business Management studies are preferred.
• Experience at least 8 years of related experience preferably in a busy manufacturing, Import Export, and Real-estate company.
• 4+ years previous experience as a Finance Head in a busy manufacturing sector required
• Self–initiative & ability to manage own work with little supervision.
• Good interpersonal relationship skills and strong people management skills.
• Ability to handle diverse business activities and challenges and cope with difficult working environments.
• A team player, keen on details, and results-oriented.
• Data Organizational & Analytical skills.
• Can communicate well with employees, unions, and management.
