SUMMARY:

As Manager Marketing & Communication you are Responsible for maximizing hotel's revenues; accomplish revenue target by developing programs to increase occupancy and make profitable use of its accommodation, meeting and leisure facilities; maintain awareness of the factors that influence the hotel industry and gain a deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of a hotel’s customers; coordinating marketing and promotional activities to meet guests' needs, working closely with other hotel staff to ensure guests are satisfied with the facilities; implements a successful solicitation strategy to ESLH market segment in order to meet and/or exceed revenue goals and ensure promotional coverage and marketing opportunities are achieved for designated segment; responsible for the publicity and promotion of all products of the hotel, including but not limited to rooms, catering, banquets, etc.; develop and implement the hotel's advertising budget and external advertising; establish good relations with the media (publications, broadcasts, etc.) and implement hotel marketing campaigns; create and execute a strategic and comprehensive advertising and public relations plan, including media planning as well as creative/visuals; Plan and execute press releases, press conferences, press briefings, press tours, and overall press relations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Directs and manages all marketing activities to maximize revenue potential.
  • Works with Sales Manager to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the hotel inventory.
  • Creates and implements marketing plan to achieve budget goals.
  • Develop and implement promotions, both internal and external.
  • Attends trade shows, community events, and industry meetings to maintain knowledge of market, competition, and customers.
  • Responsible for individual production, and accountable for the performance and results of the team.
  • Responsible for the publicity and promotion of all products of the hotel, including but not limited to rooms, catering, banquets, etc.
  • Assist the relevant departments to achieve the revenue targets and related tasks set by the hotel.
  • Develop and implement the hotel's advertising budget and external advertising.
  • Coordinate and implement communication plans for hotel activities and promotions (sales, catering, etc.) with all operating departments of the hotel.
  • Ensure that the hotel has a good image and corresponding flow on the mainstream platform in the main source area.
  •  Establish good relations with the media (publications, broadcasts, etc.) and implement hotel marketing campaigns.
  • Fully monitor all printed products of the hotel to ensure consistency with hotel’s guidelines.
  • Ensure the hotel website and other online and social media platforms’ information is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
  • Real-time monitoring of guest comments on various network platforms and replying promptly.
  • Plan and execute hotel public relation activities and achieve expected ROI.
  • Design prints according to hotel standards and ensure print quality.
  • Manage a comprehensive targeted database and advertise hotel promotions.
  • Monitor departmental expenses & maximize return on investment.
  • Liaise with other hotel departments, outside organizations or government departments to coordinate and implement different hotel projects.
  • Assist with photography, video shooting and interviews of domestic and foreign media.
  • Prepare, plan and execute hotel public relations activities.
  • Ensures the consistent implementation of ESLH safety & security policy a procedures by reporting deviations to safety or security offices as appropriate, initiating and taking preventive and corrective actions to avoid the recurrence of the deviation; visibly demonstrate and communicate commitment by making safety priority agenda item for all operational meetings and communications; develop and implement accident/incident reduction and prevention plans, communicate and implement lessons learned; participate in the development and implementation of safety briefings; encourage and ensure hazard reporting culture by employees; ensure employees have the education, experience, and the training to perform their work safely; incorporate safety performance expectations into all position job descriptions and BSC/ISC and recognize employee safety achievements; ensure the serviceability of equipment/facilities to prevent safety risks.
  • As an ESLH Brand Ambassador, you are responsible for promoting and adhering to the Brand Guidelines.
  • Perform all other related assignments as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

BA Degree in Business related field of studies with a minimum of 9 years relevant work experience in hospitality sales & Marketing, Marketing and Public Relations, or account management out of which minimum of five years in managerial or equivalent capacity.

OR

MA Degree in Business related field of studies with a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in hospitality sales & Marketing or account management out of which minimum of three years in managerial or equivalent capacity.

N.B. :The Experience must be with an international hotel chain.
