Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Legal and Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, business administration, or a related field, along with a passion for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance within the coffee industry. The individual should be between the ages of 25 and 45 and possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations within the coffee industry
• Developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks
• Collaborating with internal teams to provide legal guidance on business operations, contracts, and transactions
• Reviewing and drafting legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings
• Monitoring changes in laws and regulations affecting the coffee industry and advising on necessary adaptations
• Conducting internal audits to assess compliance with legal requirements and recommending corrective actions
• Providing education and training to employees on legal and compliance matters related to the coffee industry
• Serving as a liaison with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles within the coffee industry or related sectors
• In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in the coffee sector
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification in compliance or related fields is a plus
