Through our programs, we provide hope through direct, personal connections; creating financial independence and empowerment by taking them through a 6-month program covering 5 fundamental tracks.

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, budget monitoring and verification of compliance. The Accountant complies with all government taxes, statutory requirements, and other rules and processes as well as the ethical principles, policies, and procedures of Tabitha Reach.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Keep records of all financial transactions of the organization.
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure all monthly transactions are processed and the subsequent monthly Bank reconciliations are completed each month.
  • File all types of invoices/receipts related to Tabitha Reach’s transaction, both in hard and soft copies.
  • Follow up check payments and collect receipts and other supporting documents.
  • Prepares periodic financial statements as requested by the management in accordance to international standards
  • Prepares annual financial statement of the company for taxation, audit or other purpose.
  • Manges, reports, and executes tax obligations of the organization monthly
  • Establishes compliance mechanism to statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Monthly reports of tax obligations to appropriate tax offices
  • Participate in the preparation of annual and new budgets.
  • Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Follow up on the beneficiaries'/women’s attendance and make allowance payments accordingly.
  • Manage the savings accounts of the women that is established by Tabitha.
  • Supervise the savings accounts of the women after their training.
  • Make sure that fixed assets of the office are properly registered, physical inventory count is conducted and fixed asset reconciliation is made periodically.
  • File each transaction made on a hard copy in separate files according to their category.
  • Other responsibilities as allocated by the supervisor

 Required Competency

  • Education- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Experience- Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience, preferably in an NGO setting
