Dodai is a fast-growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand-new electric two-wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2024. It’s thus looking to engage dynamic Ethiopian talent to ensure the achievement of its goals.

Purpose of the Position

  • The Junior Quality Assurance Officer for Dodai will be part of the manufacturing team and will be responsible for ensuring all E2Ws produced by the assembly team are up to international and product standards provided by the PS.
  • S/he will be responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Officer in the development, maintenance, and oversight (including corrective action) of quality measures for the company’s product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the process of planning, execution, and overseeing product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables
  • Identify and document any defects or errors found during testing. Communicate these issues to the Quality Assurance Officer for resolution
  • Assist in the development or update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation of product defects
  • Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to the PS
  • Assist operations by tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as CSR, environmental, and health and safety KPIs
  • Safely operate complex machinery to ensure product quality.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related fields
  • 1-year experience working in a factory setting preferably with similar products (E2W, E3W, etc.)
  • Know quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
