Addis Tech Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gym Equipment Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who possesses a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and who has a proven track record of maintaining and troubleshooting gym equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of gym equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, exercise bikes, and more.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring timely and efficient repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the gym and address any equipment-related concerns promptly.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in gym equipment technology to provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in gym equipment electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical components, such as belts, motors, pulleys, and gears.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary.
• Relevant certifications in electrical and mechanical maintenance will be an advantage.
