Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including but not limited to financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit preparation. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the finance team and management to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records.
• Manage accounts receivable: Issue invoices, collect payments, manage customer relationships, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Maintain the general ledger: Record financial transactions accurately and consistently, categorize transactions into appropriate accounts, and ensure proper coding.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements: Create accurate and timely balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, analyze trends and variances, and identify potential areas of concern.
• Reconcile bank statements: Ensure accuracy and completeness of bank accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies, and maintain a clean audit trail.
• Oversee the closing process: Lead the monthly and year-end closing process, ensure timely completion of all financial reports, and reconcile accounts to external sources.
• Maintain strong internal controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations: Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and ensure the company's financial reporting practices comply with all applicable regulations.
• Analyze financial data: Extract and analyze financial data to identify trends, assess financial performance, and support informed decision-making.
• •  Provide management insights: Present key findings and recommendations from financial analysis to management, collaborate with other departments to address financial challenges, and offer guidance on strategic financial planning.

Additional Responsibilities:

The senior accountant may assist with

• Budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities: Participate in the budgeting process, develop financial forecasts, and contribute to long-term financial planning initiatives.
• Mentoring  and supervising  junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and above  in Accounting and Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior accounting position.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
