Orbit Health Solutions PLC is a firm registered in Ethiopia and located in Addis Ababa. The company is engaged in trading diversified product lines of Medical and pharmaceutical products.

Job Brief:

The general responsibilities of the position are to Lead the sales team in direct sales activities and Tender marketing including bid document preparation. Responsibilities include developing product awareness and promotion, employing different sales technic for different products and market segments, and turning products into sales. The marketing and sales person is also engaged in the identification of new products in the market, and competition trends, and updates herself/himself on market situations. Ensure superior customer experience post-sale. Liaise with the Technical/sales dept and others to ensure client expectations are being met. Also do regular check-ins with clients to see if they are having any particular issue with products bought.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate sales team
  • Efficiently communicate with suppliers and clients.
  • Develop a marketing plan, set goals, and bit targets.
  • Hold weekly sales plan and evaluate performances
  • Do market development on private, government, and NGO actual and potential customers for tender and direct sales.
  • Research bidders’ budgets and interests, Manage, direct, and monitor the overall performance of the bid/tender process to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service, and profitability.
  • Assist in achieving maximum customer satisfaction with the organizational plans.
  • Maintain and improve mechanisms for obtaining leads and opportunities thereby leading to sales.
  • Provide weekly reporting to customers/management/vendors.
  • Conducting market research to learn about client base; customer requirements possible new customers, habits, and trends.
  • Brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Develop product lines and appraise new ideas for market viability
  • Assess actual and potential competition
  • Create long- and short-term product sales forecasts and analysis for management
  • Bring new products to market with return-on-market analysis
  • Determine product pricing based on market research, production costs, and anticipated demand
  • Continue professional and technical education, attending workshops, seminars,
  • Assisting in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas.
  • Follow up floated Tender, submit to managers with recommendations, and decide the feasibility of the bid.
  • Prepare and submit the Tender document.
  • Attained tender readings and reported the result.
  • Follow up on the final result
  • Update the report to the suppliers and OHS management
  • Always provides first-class service to push the sales of a certain product. Acts as an intermediary between producers and clientele.
  • Persist in sales even in the face of failure
  • Weekly report to the management
  • Related duties assigned by management.

Reports to: Deputy G/Manager

Job Requirements


  • B.SC Degree from a recognized University in Laboratory Technology or Bio-Medical Engineering and related fields


Mandatory Experiences Requirement

  • 5-6 years experience in medical and pharmaceutical trading industries.
  • Tender document preparation and Direct sales experience

Additional Experience to be considered in pre-screening

  • Experience as a laboratory technologist.
  • Experience in Medical equipment installation and commissioning.
