ChipChip is seeking an experienced FMCG(Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a Sourcing Specialist, your responsibilities revolve around efficiently acquiring and managing vendor information and products. Here's a detailed breakdown of your tasks:

Responsibilities

  • The specialist conducts thorough market research to identify potential suppliers. They assess the market trends, prices, and the quality of products available. This involves staying updated with industry developments and understanding consumer preferences.
  • Identify and assess manufacturers, importers, and distributors to determine if they meet our requirements. Evaluate if they fall under the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) category.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality. They also work on strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the supply chain
  • Ensuring that the products sourced meet the required quality standards and specifications. This may involve coordinating with quality control teams and conducting regular supplier audits
  •  Identifying potential risks in the supply chain, such as supplier reliability or geopolitical issues, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks
  • Working closely with other departments like sales, marketing, and finance to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives
  • Regular reporting on the performance of suppliers
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for selected vendors, ensuring smooth integration into our system and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in vendor sourcing and management, preferably in B2B.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for vendor management.
