Job Description

BBF Trading PLC is engaged in Pharmaceuticals trade and regulatory Services established in 2016 initially as an importer of pharmaceuticals products from different parts of the world fulfilling all the requirements set by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration.


  • Monitoring, processing, and executing all necessary daily, monthly, and annual financial transactions and accounting tasks.
  • Monthly reconcile the Sales as per ledger with the Z-Report summary which has been reported to the tax office.
  • Monitor stocks incomings of items to all warehouses from incoming shipments, and process the Goods Receiving Notes (GRN) by communicating with the storekeepers to reconcile the quantity received and enter data into Peachtree;
  • Monitor and reconcile stock counts in all warehouses with stock keeper(s) on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Efficiently filing and safely securing all original Receipts and the original Good Receiving Notes pads.
  • Prepare cost build-up summary sheet for all the imported goods and close to the stock account;
  • Efficiently filing and safely securing the originals of all import original shipment files and their related documents, receipts, and banks' bits of advice.
  • Monitor and make sure to receive all supporting documents and complete clearance of all issued payments (receipts, invoices, agreements, advice, etc.).
  • Record, schedule, follow-up, and timely process all company's monthly, periodic, and annual due payments.
  • Efficiently filing and safely securing the originals of all payment vouchers, payment voucher pads, all payment's original supporting documents, AND all import original shipments files (classes) and their related documents, receipts, and banks' bits of advice.
  • Making sure to receive original monthly bank statements from all banks, reconciling them with the book, and efficiently filing and safely securing the same;
  • Making sure to receive original banks deduction and credit advice, shipments banks' permits and related advice/letters; and efficiently filing and safely securing the same;
  • Assist external Auditors with information & documents they require during their time of Audit.
  • Whenever necessary and required/requested, assist the financial manager and other colleagues in the same department with all and any other financial matters and processing of any other un-indicated financial transactions.
  • Monitor and support taxation requirements
  • Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
  • Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Reconciling bank deposit account balances and bank statements


  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, and attention to detail, ability to establish work relations among his / her staff or team in the highest professional team spirit;
  • Holistic understanding of the business operations, inter-relationships, and dependencies, and the role of the financial control department concerning these.
  • Well-organized reporting system and demonstrated excellent self-management skills & practices;
  • Advanced finance and accounting knowledge, including experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Good presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic

Job Requirements


  • B.A. Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university.


  • Minimum of 6 years work experience in accounting from business firms.
