About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bid & Proposals Engineers to join our growing company. In this role, you will play a vital role in developing and managing the proposals for new projects and bids. You will work closely with various teams and stakes, to ensure we submit winning bids documents, and proposals that meet client requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Develop key Bid and RFP response procedures: Establish a standard framework for responding to bids and proposals.
  •  Review and analyze procurement, EOIs, RFTs, RFIs, and RFPs from clients (summarize project brief, scope, and requirements): Understand the project needs, scope, and client requirements.
  •  Collaborate with teams to understand technical specifications, terms, and client requirements: Gather information from various departments like sales, engineering, and legal to ensure responses meet all needs.
  •  Identify opportunities to submit bids: Based on project analysis, determine if submitting bids aligns with company goals.
  • Collaborate to develop a clear winning strategy for each bid: Create a plan to maximize the chances of winning each selected bid.
  • Conduct study and/or research to ensure proposals are accurate and competitive: Gather data and conduct research to ensure the proposal is accurate, competitive, and addresses client needs effectively.
  • Coordinate, write, edit, and produce responses (research, technical content, technical specs, graphics, layout, design): Develop compelling and well-structured responses with technical content, visuals, and a professional layout.
  • Formulate a bid plan for timely submissions: Establish a timeline and action plan to ensure timely submission of bids.
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information (e.g., sales, engineering, legal) for seamless development: Collaborate with various departments to obtain necessary information and ensure a smooth proposal development process.
  • Develop and manage high-quality proposals, adhering to quality standards: Create high-quality proposals that meet all quality criteria.
  • Oversee bid/proposal document production and manage layout and printing: Manage the document creation process, including layout, printing, and binding.
  • Monitor progress and ensure on-time bid submission: Track progress and ensure timely submission of bids.
  • Track and analyze proposal performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement initiatives: Analyze the performance of submitted bids and proposals, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance future submissions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through bid document reviews and discussions: Regularly review and discuss bid documents to identify and implement improvements in the process

Required Candidate: Three (3): for different streams of businesses: Bid & Proposals Engineers - Information Technology; Bid & Proposals Engineers - Engineering; and Bid & Proposals Engineers - Business

Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree/Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Electromechanical, Communications), Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  •  Minimum 5 years of experience in bid document and/or bid response proposal preparation or project proposal, design, and detail writing.
  •  Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to meeting client needs.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, including handling multiple priorities effectively under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive bids forward.
  • Strong understanding of consultancy tender and bidding processes.
  • Experience in bid management and knowledge of business development.
  • Experience with government or public sector tendering.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up environment with strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio), Teams, and project management software (MS Project, or other)
