Job Description

Our Company QuaLabels Manufacturers Private Limited Company seeks to hire competent, experienced & aspiring applicants to fill the following vacant position.

Job Summary

Under the supervision and control of the Senior Accountant, the Junior Accountant is responsible for handling advance payments and control recording, handling petty cash reports, requesting petty cash replenishment as needed and collecting petty cash, and withdrawing money from the bank against the authorized Cheque. Assisting senior accounting staff with tasks related to analysis, reconciliation, consolidation, verification and journalizing; collecting and sorting source documents that support the company’s business transactions and other financial activities for journal entry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare check payments based on verified documents for payment from the bank
  • Ensure proper documentation of source documents with the concerned body.
  • Preparing vouchers
  • Performs coding & batching of different vouchers and passes the same for computerization;
  • Collects and sorts source documents that support the company’s business transactions and other financial activities for journal entry;
  • Stamping and numbering of all attachments and invoice
  • Compiles specified data needed for financial analysis and internal reporting purposes;
  • Transfers source documents to the filing clerk for documentation after use and requests the same for reference;
  • Verifies that journal entries agree with the details of source document entries;
  • Collects and sorts source documents that support the company’s business transactions and other financial activities for journal entry;
  • Make payment of monthly service charges incurred
  • Gives serial numbers to receipts and closes daily transactions.
  • Collects cash or cheques from the purchaser and deposits the money in the bank.
  • Collects bank statements and bank advice.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.

Employment Type: Permanent with 60 working days of probation period.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • BA degree in Accounting & Finance, Computer Application and Peachtree Accounting, Exposure to ERP system is more advantageous. 2 years related experience in for BA Degree holder/ 4 years related work experience for diploma holders.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment; work may require occasional weekend and evening work.
