Job Description

1. Basic Functions

Under the Supervision of the Group General Service Manager, supervises and controls transport service, maintenance of office buildings, office furniture and equipment, custodial, janitorial, messenger, and gardening and related manual labor activities of the company; ensures the proper provision of telephone and other communication facilities, electricity and water follows up the insurance affairs of the company.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the provision of office and company services.
  • Formulation and implementation procedures regarding security, transportation, housekeeping and other related services;
  • Checks on a daily basis the cleanliness of offices, factory floors, toilets and compound;
  • Ensures the proper accounting and settlement of utility bills and other services purchased or utilized.
  • Ensures the safety and security of employees, customers and company property;
  • Ascertains that company fixed assets and consumables are well protected and administered;
  • Follows up the proper maintenance and repair of vehicles, office equipment, and other facilities;
  • Supervises the economic usage of supplies; proposes cost reduction measures and implements same upon approval;
  • Prepares work plan of the service and confirms that company functional units get the necessary support;
  • Keeps record of expenditures and performance of all activities under supervision;
  • Prepares and submits periodic reports on the progress of assignments;
  • Performs other related duties as may be required.

Food Safety Management System

  • Periodically review all Food safety Procedures and interactions to ensure they remain current.
  • Company’s prerequisite program and ensure that PRPs are implemented, Monitored and communicated to the appropriate parties and Periodically review PRPs.
  • Implement, document, maintain and continually improve the food safety Management System (ISO 220001:2015)

Environmental Management system

  • Ensure compliance with the relevant requirements of local, national and international laws related to environmental standards and end client’s environmental requirements.
  • Recognize and aim for continuous improvement on protection and preservation of the environment with a focus on reducing resource consumption, recycling, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, no net deforestation) as well as innovation to reduce environmental impact.
  • Ensure reduction targets (environmental objectives) are in place for environmental aspects e.g. water consumption and discharge, waste, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Determine environmental aspects and impacts and devise methods to prevent or reduce these environmental impacts.
  • Retain list of chemicals used and control them as per their material safety data sheet, and legal and client requirements. Also properly handle and manage hazardous materials and wastes.
  • Use R rules (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, etc) to avoid or minimize discharges to water, emissions to air and disposal to land.
  • Ensure sustainable use the natural resources such as water, raw materials, energy and other resources. And also accurately measures and monitors consumption (usage and waste performances) of key utilities and natural resources that follow recognized protocols or standards.
  • Implement, document, maintain and continually improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015).

OH and S Management system

  • Maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with company Occupational Health
  • and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain a Safe, Healthy and Risk-Free Working Environment
  • Participating in mandatory Health and Safety training sessions
  • Identifying and reporting hazards in the workplace
  • Record, document and maintain the records as per the OH&S Management System (ISO 45001:2018) requirements.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • BA in Management & other related fields
