The objective of the assignment:

USAID CATALYZE MS4G would like to hire a consultant writer/ editor to strengthen MS4G’s capacity to communicate clearly, consistently, and impactfully, ultimately advancing our mission and making a positive difference in the communities we serve. We believe that this position is instrumental in achieving our goals and embodying our commitment to excellence in communication.

Task and deliverables

  • Write, develop, and refine content for a variety of project communications materials, including reports, articles and success stories.
  • Review (proofread) and edit project documents, reports, and other written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to grammatical and style guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency in language, terminology, and formatting across all project documents.
  • Collaborate with project team members to refine and enhance the quality of written content.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear and accessible language for a diverse audience.

Qualification and Experience

The successful candidate is required to meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in writing, content creation, and copy editing preferably within the context of USAID-funded projects or international development.
  • Exceptional English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with USAID's communication requirements and branding guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality written materials.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
