Job Description

Ethio-Professionals’ Security Solutions (EPSS), is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization with headquarters in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) established in 2021. EPSS is a humanitarian and development organization established with the aim of changing customers’ perceptions of safety, security, and well-being by outdoing ourselves every day. It provides landmine clearance, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), minefield survey, travel risk management services and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE) and importantly safety and security services, Rehabilitation and Conflict Resolution to help the recovery and development of affected communities.

EPSS in collaboration with Humanity and Inclusion (HI) is currently at the verge of implementing Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) activities in Tigray region at Axum and Shire areas.

EPSS is looking for qualified and competent applicants for the following positions:

EORE TEAM LEADER JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the EORE team leaders shall be stationed at Axum and Shire one at each duty station and he/she will be responsible for overall coordination, EORE training, documentation of the project implementation records and report writing.

Main tasks of the EORE Team Leader:

  • Plan for the EORE training and make sure the activities are ready to be undertaken,
  • Conduct EORE in the target areas in consultation with the EORE trainer and co-trainer
  • Provide technical support and direction for the EORE trainer and co-trainer,
  • Follow up the deliverables of the EORE sessions and of the team under his/her supervision,
  • Ensure the resources of the project are properly used and records are kept,
  • Prepare timely reports and share with the project manager,
  • Capture success stories of the project activities implementation and share along with the reports,
  • Liaise with regional, zonal and woreda stakeholders for effective implementation of the project activities,

Reports to: Project Manager

Term of Employment: Contract

Contract duration: Six (6) months

Staff required: Two (2)

Duty station: Axum and Shire

Job Requirements

  • BA/MA in social sciences, Political Sciences, or related field
  • 4/2 years’ experience BA/MA in project management, community mobilization and training
  • Some EORE experience is required,
  • Strong facilitation skills,
  • Strong determination to promote gender equality,
  • Good knowledge and experience on local and regional government operational systems and procedures,
  • Tigirigna language knowledge is mandatory,
  • Good understanding of the English language,
