I. PROJECT BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
Jumpstart Accelerator 2021 (JSA2021) is an agribusiness accelerator program that is supported by iceaddis. The program works with 5 start-ups over the time frame of 12 months, with the goal of creating 20 jobs through each startup during the implementation period.
In this program, iceaddis will utilize its past experiences, networks in supporting startups and agri-businesses to develop an acceleration and entrepreneurship support program to truly transform the selected businesses and place them on the path to becoming successful enterprises.
The overall objective of the agribusiness accelerator program is to develop customized business acceleration and coaching program that equips the selected 5 startups with practical business skills and tools for entrepreneurs to help them in taking their business to the next level.
The JSA2021 is supported by sequa gGmBH that implements a SME Grant Scheme on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation (SI Jobs) program of Deutsche Gesellschaft f?r Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) to promote growth in selected sectors in Ethiopia. SI Jobs targets private sector development for economic clusters in selected geographical areas and promotes sustainable investments that leads to more employment.
II. OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT
As part of the JSA2021 program, Iceaddis is seeking for consultancy and expert linkage to provide startups with the necessary knowledge and guidance to tackle identified gaps.
The startup (client) for this specific assignment is a company that digitally connects farmers to rental mechanization service providers in Ethiopia with the aim of enhancing productivity, reducing post-harvest loss, and saving farmers? time and energy. The mobile application to be developed is intended to connect farmers and mechanization service providers.
III. SCOPE OF WORK
The client seeks consultancy support to build and deploy a mobile application and a web platform system that connect farmers with mechanization service providers. Using the system, customers can specify
The digital platform will then send the customer request to the service providers registered on the platform and connect the two entities based on the right matching criteria, which will be defined during the requirement gathering phase.
Towards this end, a firm or individual with similar prior experience(s) is sought to build a complete Android Mobile Application that facilitates such matching and allows the client to manage the overall interaction. The scope of work consists of the following major elements/systems.
Features of the System
1. Simple User Interface of Mobile Application
The mobile app should be designed in the method of human-centered design (HCD) so that any user can feel easy to apply.
2. Web Interface for experts in a Call Centre
The queries sent through the mobile app can be seen by a call center expert in the form of request records in a web interface-visual dashboard for monitoring and managing calls. The call center expert can see the request type and GPS location. The location will provide information like distance and regions/zones/woredas in Ethiopia. Moreover, the system helps the call center expert to push and connect with mechanization service providers through web interface. They can answer mechanization-related queries through the system. Furthermore, the system will generate reports and connect with other websites through APIs interfaces.

This website is a separate company website to be hosted with a domain name (www.bfarmtech.com or www.bfarmtech.et) and basic information like the company profile, services, location, contacts and other information
The mobile app should
In the future, the App should have a payment system integrated with existing payment platforms like (Tele-birr, M-Birr, CBE Birr, and Chapa etc?) (Optional)
The consultant is expected to conduct a thorough requirement analysis with the client?s focal points in order to understand the exact needs before proceeding with the development of the platform.

The project duration is 4 months. The amount of consultancy days is estimated at 50-80 (need must be justified), but it can differ according to the quotations submitted by the consulting individual or firm.
