Overall Objectives

The HOD-Human Resources and Administration offers overall support and direction in Human Resources and Administration function for the company; He/She is responsible to ensure the policies and standards are applied consistently and compliance to company procedures and guidelines; S/he is a key person on managing the resource turnover of the company with day to day movement of vision and mission of the company are fully filled with all staff.

The role also contributes to the development of company strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. To create the best working environment in the company including strengthening the openness, clear policy, close follow up on the code of conduct as well as strengthening the HSE compliance to all staff without compromise Government regulation.

The position needs to work very closely with CEO and support all stakeholders of the company to meet their requirements when it comes to resources management.

Job description and responsibility

  • Develop, communicate and translate all company policy, code of conduct, vision, and mission of the company to be clearly understandable to all staff all the time
  • Plan and management of all training programs to all staff during the year with coordinating the trainers to offer adequate materials for the benefit of the company
  • Handling employee benefits and affairs like leave, salary, and others with respect to staff contract and compliance of the Government of Ethiopia
  • Maintaining fiscal and digital staff records this is including keeping all staff well updated on their record and performance issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations this is the management of staff statutory payment in time and as per law with clear communication to all staff
  • She/he will lead the meeting for hiring staff and negotiating employment contract by following the procedure of acquiring a new resource as per company focus with the clear procedure to all levels and maintain their database
  • Managing staff wellness and performance reviews every three months, maintaining KPI for all the staff with clear feedback on improvement, and making analysis for hiring and firing with fear play to everyone
  • Develop and plan strategic objectives of the company, with a focus on the best negotiations with other statutory for best service like health insurance, pension funds to the advantage of the company but comply with market need.
  • Conducting regular meetings and management of any crisis in the company as well as being the bridge of all departments in the company.
  • Prepare the monthly report of Resource performance, staff turnover and key analysis based on company vision and mission then present to the CEO
  • Management of all staff calendar meetings and coordinate all preparation of the participation in the meeting for the higher productivity
  • Team building, management of social interaction, and strength the working environment at the company to meet the vision and mission of the company
  • Manage on making a hard decision without bias and balance the staff interest and company interest
  • Represent the company to any meeting which relates to HR and administration requirements to a higher level and Government level on behalf or under the directive of the CEO

Educational Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelors of degree in Human Resource Management or higher
  • A minimum of three years experience of Human Resource Management
  • Aged between 30- 40 by end of 2022

  • Proven leadership skills and competence in people management and working with senior management and Leadership.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge/experience of Human Resources Management principles, concepts & processes.
  • Highest level of integrity.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ethiopian Labor law
  • People Management and Negotiation skills are highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent skills in handling crises and management of changes in the organization
  • Experience in developing Human Resources strategies and policies, and driving implementation with a clear focus on the higher performance of the organization
  • Confidentiality and high-level capability of keep staff personal data
  • Computer literates’ and presentation skill
