Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute (ESSTI) is a newly established institute in Ethiopia to lead Space Science and Technology from end to end research in all apace applications, space infrastructure development, satellite development and operation, and international collaboration in Astronomy and Astrophysics, space science and application, satellite technology, Aeronautics and astronautics, earth observation, and related space science technologies.

Presently, ESSTI is looking for an outstanding candidate with excellent experience and prominent academic, research, and technical skills in different fields as mentioned below.

Position: Assistant Researcher I/II

Requirement:

• B.Sc and above in Software Engineering, Computer Science Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Inform Science
• 3.50 and above CGPA from recognized University
• For Assistant researcher II - Four years of university and related institute experience
• For assistant Researcher I - Two years of University and related institute experience

Responsibility:

• To conduct small scale projects in data management, data processing, and related areas by developing and customization web-based applications
• To develop and customize software's and automate systems
• Develop a small scale project proposal in Line with the directorate identified research area
• Deploy ICT infrastructure such as data center, network deployment
• Provide support to users and IT system, and
• Provide maintenance of ICT equipment
• Administering of High-Performance Computer cluster, Network, website, and Datacenter by monitoring servers, network devices and taking backups
• Intermediate programing language experience in C++, web application, and Java
• Linux administration & python scripting
• Configuring and installing widow server and Linux server
• Data management and archiving
• Networking and data center deployment
• Windows Server administration, active directory and group policy;
• Server hardware and software installation as well as server and client device virtualization
• Router and network device configuration Database management and software development related to space science
