Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute (ESSTI) is a newly established institute in Ethiopia to lead Space Science and Technology from end to end research in all apace applications, space infrastructure development, satellite development and operation, and international collaboration in Astronomy and Astrophysics, space science and application, satellite technology, Aeronautics and astronautics, earth observation, and related space science technologies.

Presently, ESSTI is looking for an outstanding candidate with excellent experience and prominent academic, research, and technical skills in different fields as mentioned below.

Position: Associate Researcher I/II

Requirement:

• M.Sc. and above in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Networking, Computer Science and Engineering program (specialized Data Science, and Cloud Computing and Distributed system), Information Science and Systems (information system), and information Technology
• 3.50 and above CGPA from a recognized University, Very good and above thesis result
• For Associate researcher II - Two Years
• For Associate researcher I, no need experience

Responsibility:

• To conduct research in the area of data management algorithm, big data, HPOC cluster, data management, and related fields
• Identify research areas and prepare a research proposal in line with the identified research area
• Develop and customize algorithms to process and analyze a high volume of data using a high-performance computer cluster
• To develop and customize software's and automate systems to support researches in space Science
• Clustering high-performance computers
• To builds ICT infrastructure such as data center, network deployment
• Provide support tor corrective maintenance on ICT equipment
